Not trying to tke away from what you sid Jim but it is Miss St that uses the cowbells. Many are family heirlooms that have been around for decades

Yes, but they specifically say no cowbells on the PA as you enter the stadium.

Cowbells are allowed and enouraged at the DRays games, thunder sticks are given out at Lightning games, but for an outdoor stadium they ban all noisemakers.  STUPID!  I would love to know the reason for this from the TSA. 

Despiteit being a BS rule, I wouldn't use them unless you want to get tazered.

The rule was created for TV purposes. It's easy to drown out the sound of a screaming crowd, it's a pretty steady lower pitched sound. Even thuunder sticks or drums.

However higher pitched items like air horns, bells, trumpets, etc; are hard to disguise.

How many times have you heard a woman scream during a football game and it be very prevalent in the background noise? Same idea. You just can't stop anyone from screaming.

If you need a cowbell or thunderstix to make noise, then you aren't a passionate fan.  Nothing I hate more in sports than thunderstix, oh and the DH.......

Not sure if it doesn't make you passionate. Mutt is pretty hard core and he uses a cowbell. B ut I agree artifical noise is not nerly as intimidating as thousands of fans screaming in unison. Oh and the DH is the worst rule ever promulgated in sports.
