I wish we would play Tampa in some other sports for exhibition matches, the soccer match seems pretty cool.  Of course, they could move D-I, but that will probably never happen.

Don't be too sure. UT plans to get to 10,000 students fairly quickly... UM is only 15,000.

It won't happen anytime soon.  I'm involved with the athletic department at UT.  As long as Marfise is still the AD (no sign of him leaving) and Vaughn is the president (no sign of him leaving), the school will stay D-II.  They have absolutely no desire to go D-I.  As for the other sports, there aren't many other options.  USF wouldn't schedule UT in women's soccer, baseball, or volleyball because they could legitimately be beaten by a D-II team in those sports, and that wouldn't look good.  In the other sports that both schools share (m&w bball, softball, tennis, track), it wouldn't be competitive at all (obviously in USF's favor).

Would this be the one?  The date shows 79, so it may be the runner-up soccer bowl trophy for that year.
