From QB to coach   

Tampa, Fla. -- Marquel Blackwell is ready for his new adventure.

After attempts in NFL training camps did not lead to a quarterback job, Marquel returned to the Bay area.  After just one season as an assistant coach at Freedom High School, he has taken the Patriots reigns.

Marquel is looking forward to the challenges presented by being a head coach.  He's learned from the likes of Bill Belichick and Jim Leavitt to help prepare him.

He can also rely on his record-setting experience at USF.  He is the Bulls all-time leader in completions (795), passing yards (9,108), and touchdowns (57).

Freedom is coming off a 6-5 season, which included a 21-13 loss at Winter Haven in the first round of the playoffs.
