Tell me about it! I have it up in my home office signed by Leavitt! I look at it everyday and think back how incredible that night was. Hard to explain if you weren't there.

What happened to the close to 50,000 people that were at that game? Where did they go and why aren't we still at that capacity?

That's one of Tampa's biggest mysteries. I just can't believe that 25K+ people were there just for the novelty of it all. Maybe those 25k that disappeared were just hardcore fans of I-AA football. I insist that this could be a great investigative report assignment for Brett or Greg. I wouldn't mind seeing this in the front cover of the STP or Trib on a slow news day. I really wanna know what happened to them.

I ask myself all the time. And agree that it would be great to have a story/series about this subject.

Seems I heard/read that we have some Die-Hard BULLS on this board that didn't even go to the game.

What are some thoughts as to why these fans didn't stay ? or atleast returned with our success.

What were the attendance numbers for the rest of the games that season? I guess it was more of a "hey, lets go check out some football on Saturday" type of thing.

2nd Highest that season was 34,432 - HomeComing.

Lowest was 25,361 against Charleston Southern.

1998's High was against The Citadel at 32,598.

50K, wait to see what happens when we are selling 60K each home game.  We will sell out all games by 2010 at home.  People are energized, just look at Sports Illustrated and all the positive commentaries - we are USF

I wish I would have grasped the importance of what I was witnessing. I don't have pictures, programs, or the ticket stub. I do have an Inaugural coffee mug though. whoopie.
