Has there ever been this much excitement for both football and basketball@USF?

I dont know you might be the only person excited about basketball... We shouldnt be excited we should be scared...

I'm excited about basketball, and why should we be scared?

Good question. What's there to be scared about? We've got the most talent, on paper, we've ever had. Have to see if that's going to be enough for the BE, though, but no reason to be scared .... maybe a tad apprehensive, waiting to make sure we start the season with a full, healthy roster of those available.

I'm excited about hoops...  how can you not be excited.  If you were anti Mac, you've got a new coach that has a proven track record of getting teams to the tourney.

We still have a beast of a center, and a good group of guards. 

We have a bit more depth at the bigs than we had last year... although it is still a question mark, and we have a great home schedule.

The future has potential to be very bright.

And football is a no brainer.

I can honestly say that at the beginning of last year, I was extemely skeptical... a skeptical optimism, but skeptical nonetheless. Yes, our defense was going to be great, but I think a lot of us were questioning the offense's ability to put points on the board. We can't shut 'em out every game, ya know.

Then Grothe stepped on the field.

Then we shocked the world by doing the impossible: Beating WVU, and not just outscoring them.

Then we won a bowl game against an unfairly overmatched ECU team.

Then we got a five-star running back.

So here we are, looking at being the most red-f'in hot team in the nation this year. Elon better be saying their prayers two months ago, because they'll be staring down one of the biggest guns in the country on September 1st. Then the fun begins.

Me? To quote Topher Grace and Dennis Quaid (In Good Company), I'm psyched.
