Has there ever been this much excitement for both football and basketball@USF?

I cant remember an offseason like this with the excitement for both basketball and football. Football, you have all these preseason predictions about USF having a great year. Basketball, you have the new coach Stan Heath taking on the challenge of USF hoops. As 9/1 gets closer each day, I get more anxious about the season for both football and hoops. Even the crazy running of the bulls has got me thinking that this may be the year of the Bull!!!! GO BULLS!!!

Scared??? Are you insane???  We have gotten so used to being a marginal basketball team starting with the arrival of Seth that all you can be is optimistic.  I was optimistic with McCullum; and eventually disappointed.  Although he at least was able to knock off some Top 25 teams.  I'mk even more optimistic that Stan will bring us some great recruits and will be a real winner.  So yes...I'm excited about Football AND Basketball.....I'm a Bulls fan!

Heath will have the Bulls competing for the dance in just a couple of years, IMO.  And that's when it'll take off.

When the hoops team started 7-0 in 2001 and football was having a great I-A season, people were excited... unfortunately... we didn't get a bowl game and hoops ended up in the Not Invited Tourney and an early out to a very good Ball State team (Ball State would've made the tourney that year if their best player hadn't missed half the season with an injury. That was the last time I remember so much hype about both sports...

Women's basketball should be great. Men's soccer should be very improved. Women's Tennis just won the Big East.

Softball is always competiive. Overall our entire sport's program is improving very nicely.
