One of the most objective I've seen.

Very politically correct by covering all the bases from could win it all to finishing fourth in the BE.

Overall it was very positive.

It was a pretty good analysis.  I like his critiques of Grothe instead of prasie.  As much as I love the great 8, I have yet to see any criticism besides that he is young

I liked about the first half of it, and felt he was being pretty fair (looking objectively at the hype surrounding the program and comparing it to actual numbers, etc) until he got closer to the end.

He's saying realistically we can expect 8 wins.  But we had 8 wins last season (not including bowl obviously), and that was with Louisville, UNC, WVU, and UCF all on the road, AND WE RETURN MOST OF OUR TEAM FROM LAST YEAR, NOW HAVE MORE HOPE AT RB, AND GROTHE IS A YEAR OLDER.

And then he flat out says that in a worst case scenario we could lose to pretty much everyone we except Elon, FAU, UCONN and Cuse. Get real.

Bottom line: His assessment is surprisingly weak following what I thought was a decent analysis.

Well that would be a worst case senerio...

You think Tennessee fans believed they'd go 5-6 and lose to Vandy when they started the season in the top 10 with the top ranked sophomore QB, young RBs, and a pretty veteren defense,

It's college football, things can go south very quick. I don't see it happening.

Overall I find the article to be very good.

#3 if you really want to rub it in...

worst case scenarios are only an injury (or just complete meltdown) away.  take off the green and gold glasses and there is a distinct possibility of starting the year 1-3 and then who knows how well the team will hold up mentally.

Something this guy missed... no more Rod Smith.  One can only expect the offense to be better without him.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
