Great article about the chapter. I see that the Phoenix area is starting a chapter. I wonder if Terry the Sheriff or Brad has anything to do with that going out there in Arizona.

Thanks for the kudos.  It was a lot of fun doing the interview.  The editor (Bob McClure) is a USF alumni and a very nice guy.  He has an interest in joining the Pinellas Chapter in some upcoming events. 

There are lots of free local papers like this all over the country and they are looking for feel good stories like this.  If you have an interest in getting some press reach out to them and make it happen.

Are you guys planning on making the UConn game?  I saw that there were plans on attending the Rutgers and Pitt games in the article.

I plan on driving down from Boston for the UConn game.

    We will have a large group @ Rutgers as they are only 50 minutes or so from Philly and surrounding areas.  Two years ago we had a large group and our folks loved the facilities, the proximity, and of course the outcome. 

    Pitt. is a wait and see based on how well they are doing.  The rub is it's T-giving weekend and that stops lots in their tracks.

My hope in doing this interview and continuing the push the USF AA is that our alumni get out and enjoy some of the events put on by these really outstanding volunteers.  There are over 80,000 USF alumni in Hillsborough county alone.  With those numbers we should be out in mass at events and in memberships.

We have 1,500 in our geographic area and growing yearly.  Our events of really a lot of fun and family friendly.  So, here is my pitch as always.  Get out and attend an event in an area near you.  Join the AA (it's only $40.00 per year) and hit the alumni website @ www.usfalumni.net

It is a great university and the value of my degree is increasing each day due to lots of things, but one of the certainly is the USF AA.
