If UCF, somehow, wins the next two games this goes to another four game series.  USF WILL NOT be seen as running away from UCF after losing to them two years in a row.  No way.  So, Knights, all you have to do to have your rivalry is to beat us two times in the next two years.

Yeah, I know.  But I don't see us walking away from them if that happened.

I am ambivalent about the game.  I like the attendance and another close away game.  But the passion has waned (not absent, only decreased) since we have beaten them twice and it looks very likely that we will go 4-0 on them.  Still, I could get a severe cramp over losing to them.  They just need to make it a relevant game.  That is slipping away further every year.  There has to be genuine animosity or continuing this series doesn't have the interest that another better known team would generate.  And it is hard to have genuine animosity toward a team you beat every year.

Great point, and can equally be used when referring to the USF-UM series.  If Bulls beat Canes twice in 5 games (3 at RJS), the rivalry will be on.  If not, not so much.

Personally, I'd bet on USF getting 2 wins against UM over UCF winning next two against the Bulls.

I rethought my position earlier to email Constantine.  I guess the best way to make this go away is to ignore the knights and ignore constantine, unless he tries to pass some legislation.

What part of the fact that UM in 09 will bring way more fans than UCF don't people understand???

The reality is that there is NO ROOM in our schedule to play them again until 2011.

Time to move on. i enjoy the games but ill be enjoying even more the USF-UM games that will start in 2009 when UCF comes off the schedule.

Very soon, playing ucIF will be a thing of the past.  After beating them four years in a row, they won't want to play us anymore anyways.

Doesn't matter, there is SOMETHING there. You might not feel it, but I'd say a good part of our fanbase does. The fact that guys (even you Trip) post consistently in the Dumbgeon shows there is SOMETHING there.
