Big "Get" for USF Philadelphia/S. Jersey Alumni Chapter!!

I'm very excited to announce that on Thursday, August 2, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm the USF Philadelphia/S. Jersey Alumni Chapter will host Dr. Stephen Klasko, Dean, USF Medical School and President USF Alumni Association, John Harper.

If you know of any alumni in our area (NY, NJ, PA, DE) or you will be in our area on this date please make plans to attend. 

Where: Wachovia Bank Building, 123 South Broad St., Fifth Floor Board Room, Philadelphia, PA 19109.

ya'll should contact the NYC alumni association. I think they have a website and/or a group on InCircle. Good luck! Post the pics and make sure you send em to the alumni assoc so they can have the option of putting them in the alumni digest!

You bet.  Our chapter is going strong w/>1,500 USF Alumni in the Philly/S. Jersey area.  Lots of fun w/great people.  Look for a BIG showing at Rutgers on Oct. 18. 

I've said it a million times but if your an alumni and you're not involved in the alumni association (member) and attending chapter events in your area shame on you!

How far is the trip from the the Philly area ?

Do you plan on a group to the Pitt football game to close the regular season?

my guess is 2hrs to RU from Philly area - philly borders southern jersey

Yeah, I call a vendor in S. Jersey and listen to a Philly Rock Station when I'm on hold.

From downtown Philly to the RU campus is about 1 hr 20 minutes w/modertate traffic.  I have had numerous inquiries about USF / RU game tickets.  Our chapter will be there in full force.

Pitt maybe another story.  Thanksgiving weekend and it's about a 5 hr. 15 min. ride from downtown Philly.  If they are still in the hunt it will be a much better sell.  If they are not, it's a long drive to Pitt. and a very cold stadium.

I came up and went to the game with some of my friends/classmates form the area and remember meeting you and the fact that Pres. Genshaft and Doug Woolard were there and spoke before the game to our crowd and sat for a couple of minutes in student section. I will be back for this game also and look forward to seeing everyone again.

The Philly chapter is going strong and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible at Rutgers on Oct. 18.  It's a great trip and a great atmosphere.
