Kids who want to be walk-ons are being turned away. Brantley Poe, a 6-foot-4, 305-pound offensive tackle from Lakeland George Jenkins, visited campus this week, but was told there weren't any guaranteed spots available. His father David said Thursday that Poe will likely accept an invitation to be a preferred walk-on at Auburn, ...

I think it's both good (that we don't have any room left) and bad (you never know...that guy seems like a good catch).

Tip to those that want to "walk-on" at a Div I, don't wait till the END OF JUNE to contact a program! (Unless its Auburn!)

Most walk-on spots are filled during early SPRING!

Also a tip to "walk ons"...nothing is guaranteed.  Not sure what he would be looking for.  Even the preferred spots aren't guaranteed.  Walk on and earn it.  Ask Ben Williams.

Some coaches don't like walk-ons, because if the WO turns out  better than a scholly player it makes the coaches recruiting skills look bad.

We do know if the teams were reversed, they would be saying it about "lowly" USF ... I just found this humorous.

Go BULLS !!!

Another good sign that this is a good sign for our coaches thoughts on our O-line ... we know how deep our WR's are and we just accepted a WR walk-on from Ohio, but turned down a OL that is accepted at Auburn ?

We did have a heavy OL class, and coaches must be very happy with them.

Go BULLS !!!

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
