CJL on Rivals Radio

Bill King, host of the Rivals Radio program on Sirius Radio, had two segments on the Bulls this morning.  The first segemnt was an interview with CJL (about 20 minutes), they talked about the infancy of the program and where it is going.  Then they discussed Matt Grothe, Mike Ford, and the defense.  Bill King mentioned several times throughout the segment that USF is a sleeping giant and if people think that the Big East is just WVa, L'ville, and Rutgers then they will soon find out that South Florida is a team on the rise and has beaten those teams.  They also talked about CJL's commitment to USF and not wanting to leave for another job elsewhere.  CJL stated that he has been contacted by several schools in the past, however, he is at USF to stay.  Lastly, CJL mentioned the goal every year is to win the Big East.  Listening to CJL got me pumped up for the upcoming season.

The second segment was with Brent McMurphy, Tampa Tribune, they talked about the Bulls winning the Big East, which Brent said was possible, however, he thought that WVa would win the Big East with three teams tied for second.  They discussed Matt Grothe not running as much as last season and Mike Ford needing to get in shape and knock the rust off.  Next they talked about the defense and USF's elite corners which allow the Bulls to blitz.  They talked about the upcoming Miami series and the UCF series, and that it appears that USF has surpassed UCF and if the Bulls sweep the Knights that the Bulls will not renew the series because the Bulls want home and home series with BCS teams and they already have an in state series with Miami.  UCF on the other hand wants to continue the series and that lawmakers out of Orlando are the only lawmakers that would try to force the series, no surprise.  Another good segment that lasted approx 10 minutes.  Overall 30 minutes were allotted on Rivals Radio to the Bulls, very nice.

I may have left some elements out by mistake and if anyone heard these segments please feel free to add anything I may have forgotten.

Forget "sleeping" giant.  The Giant has arrived and he is fully awake.

Lawmakers from Orlando better not get involved.  Don't they have an actual job to do other than running around trying to legislate a game that we do not want.  Tampa area representatives better not let them get away with this.
