Seems they are getting out of their Colorado series(being replaced by WVU).

And I'm sure Butch Davis would like another game in FL.

And I know our current 2008 schedule is complete, but schedules can always be changed.

I wouldn't mind it (for purely selfish reasons--I live in NC) but save that, I could take or leave it. I don't see us finding or desiring to find full time rivals in Carolina, so I see no need for 4 consecutive years of play when there are other fish in the sea.

Butch may be able to restore NC to conference leaders in a few years; but that route will not come via USF.  We will take them again this year and then at 2-0 he will have to make concessions for us to play them again.

Butch was a wonder at Miami but he has been away from college sports for a while.  The boys in powder blue will have many growing pains between now and 2010.

Doubt it. Even if the Colorado game is dropped in 2008 UNC still has games with Rutgers, UConn and ND. I think they would love a tune up game. Plus I can't see them adding another BE team anyway with 2 already on the schedule.

* But would be open to moving this game and replacing it with UNC.

2009 OOC

And would LOVE to have UNC visit in 2009 ... will probably have 3 Home Conference Games, this would give us 7 Home Games !

E.T. - if we're gonna move a game in, it won't be FIU. Not sure they'll be excited about moving a BCS team to play in their new stadium. Simply put its hard to move road games, especially when it's a team that is going to promote you as their biggest home opponent

As for IU in 2009, I have heard rumors that they have asked to move the 2009 game to a later date or cancel the series altogether. This was before Hoeppner passed away, so I am not sure if thet rumor is still legit.
