i don't know where FAU plays their games at, but if it is near their school in Boca, there is no way to get there by going I-75 to the turnpike.  i know this because i do the drive to Miami all the time.  Also with a 15 minute stop in Naples, if you go 75 to the turnpike (stupid in my opinion) it will only be a 3 hour drive, as I can do Tampa to Kendall (South Miami) in 4 hours.

FAU plays their home games in Lockhart Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale.  The stadium is a renovated high school stadium that holds about 20,450.

CoolBull, sorry to have turned this into an FAU directions thread, but here is a map with the address of Lockart Stadium the red star.

From 75, you can take 869 north to Commercial Blvd and go east OR take 595 to 95 north to Commercial Blvd.  It's really a very easy drive.

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?formtype=address&country=US&popflag=0&latitude=&longitude=&name=&phone=&level=&addtohistory=&cat=&address=5201+NW+12th+Avenue+&city=&state=&zipcode=33309

I was thinking we would easily have 4,000 at this game if SG pays to bus 500 students to the game.  Maybe I'm way off.

I think both games will travel well. Most of my fellow students are excited about the Auburn game, and are trying to do as much as possible to get there. I think both games might be limited by ticket availability, especially Auburn.

It looks like Section 125 is for visitors.  I'd like to think that we'd expand beyond that, but I'm not sure where.

After purchasing 10 tickets yesterday for FAU game and only 4 for Auburn game (I buy for several people)...it made me start wondering:

will we have more fans take the shorter drive to Boca for a less entertaining and less meaningful game (with good scenery) or go the longer distance to Auburn for a potentially classic game with the big name opponent and not so much to see.  Stupid question, yes, but it is the offseason.  What do you think?  If it was "one or the other" there wouldn't be much to think about...I'd go to Auburn.  So...which game gets more USF fans?  Based on my not so random sample from my own ticket purchase, we would have 2.5x the fans in Boca!  Crazy.

How can I get FAU tickets already?

I expect USF to have a bus for students for FAU.

I'm excited about another opportunity to see our BULLS Live. This game probably won't be televised.

Go BULLS !!!

Traveling to games, and not leaving Florida, are almost like having home games.  Be it Miami, Tallahassee, Gainesville, Broward County, or Orange County - we will  not miss any home games.

RTB, thanks for the FAU seating chart.  This will be interesting as section 125 can hold 500 or 600 people max if the whole place is only 20,000.  If we can sell a minimum of 2,000 tickets in advance, would our allocation bleed around into the general admission enzone - like sections 126 through 130?  This may be FAU's first home game at Lockart where the visitors will definitely sell more than just section 125.  I would love to see us take over that entire corner like 124 through 130 with HOT right in the middle.  It could be UCF all over again which was a great loud and proud BULLS crowd!

Does anyone know what USF's maximum allocation of tickets for the FAU game is?
