FAU kickoff of 4pm is perfect for a day trip.  Leave Tampa at 9am, arrive at the soccer stadium before 1pm for 3 hours of tailgating.  Leave Lauderdate around 7:30 and home by 11pm.

Exactly.  I-75 will be Green & Gold that day!

Interesting. I did a quick Google map of directions, and the quickest way to get to FAU is out I-4 -> SR-570 -> US-90 -> SR-60 -> Turnpike or I-95 -> Boca Raton. I don't know if that will work. It says it's about a 4 hour drive.

Don't go with those directions - Yahoo will give you the same thing.  You do not want to take 60 out of Brandon as it is about 90 miles of stop and go with a lot of single lane traffic until you get to the turnpike.

Take 75 south to Alligator Alley and that will take you right into Lauderdale where the stadium is.  Without stops, you can make it in 3 1/2 hours.

I think the best away games to see this year by far will be ... and Rutgers.  ..., and Rutgers because it's the middle of October in New Jersey, and a night game.  That place should be rocking.

I think it will be quiet . . . Rutgers seems to be selling their tickets well and should be sold out - with a couple thousand BULLS ... we won't make that much noise as we're whippin' them  ;D

I expect that we'll have a decent yet small crowd at Auburn, say about 800-1000 fans.  However, I'd expect that we'll see around 2500 for FAU.

I think we travel better than that - to Auburn ... only been to 1 AWAY game though.

I would be very disapponted if we didn't equal the fans of FAU.

Go BULLS !!!

I've been both ways and that is much slower...and more expensive due to the Turnpike.

Also, though FAU is in Boca, they play in Ft. Lauderdale, about a quarter mile from I-95 & Commerical Blvd.

As 79 Bull Said, I-75 is the way to go.

i don't know where FAU plays their games at, but if it is near their school in Boca, there is no way to get there by going I-75 to the turnpike.  i know this because i do the drive to Miami all the time.  Also with a 15 minute stop in Naples, if you go 75 to the turnpike (stupid in my opinion) it will only be a 3 hour drive, as I can do Tampa to Kendall (South Miami) in 4 hours.

Think you're low on both unless we're handicapped through allotment on Auburn.
