After purchasing 10 tickets yesterday for FAU game and only 4 for Auburn game (I buy for several people)...it made me start wondering:

will we have more fans take the shorter drive to Boca for a less entertaining and less meaningful game (with good scenery) or go the longer distance to Auburn for a potentially classic game with the big name opponent and not so much to see.  Stupid question, yes, but it is the offseason.  What do you think?  If it was "one or the other" there wouldn't be much to think about...I'd go to Auburn.  So...which game gets more USF fans?  Based on my not so random sample from my own ticket purchase, we would have 2.5x the fans in Boca!  Crazy.

FAU is closer plus you are going to get many USF alumni from the east coast that do NOT have season tickets but will be at this game. Most of those will not go to Auburn.

FAU kickoff of 4pm is perfect for a day trip.  Leave Tampa at 9am, arrive at their soccer stadium before 1pm for 3 hours of tailgating.  Leave Lauderdale around 7:30 and home by 11pm.

My friends that come with me to Home games would not go to Auburn, expecting/hoping some will come to Boca.

I'm excited about a 7th game I'll be able to see, without taking time off the new job.

And agree that a 4 PM KickOff will help for many just wanting a day trip, hope that time stays.

Their stadium holds about 20,000 . . . hoping for more BULLS Stampeding into their house !

Go BULLS !!!

The FAU game will have more USF fans there than at Auburn. It is just the fact that there are more USF fans living in the South Florida area than there are in Auburn. Also, the drive there is much shorter.

One factor that hasn't been mentioned is that the number of tickets allocated to USF for each game is not infinite.  How many will be available for Auburn?  FAU?

I think the best away games to see this year by far will be Auburn and Rutgers.  Auburn because we will probably never play there again if we don't eventually end up in the SEC, and Rutgers because it's the middle of October in New Jersey, and a night game.  That place should be rocking.

Exactly.  I-75 will be Green & Gold that day!

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
