Its been two years and the 05 class is shaping up to be a great one.We only brought in 18 guys tht year and 5 are already starters(Grothe,TJ,Selvie,CRob,)w/ one(Watson) already off the team due to his transfer from a JUCO program.Plus theres 1 more tht won the starting job(Plancher)but lost it due to injury.

We have five guys already off the team who made little or no impact(DeArmes,Benzer,Anderson,Grant,Cox).

We also have two guys(Hill,Hester)who have showed alot of promise and could be starters one day.We have three other guys tht have had great Springs(Murphy,Roberts,Tolley)who we expect big things from in the future. One Prospect(Busbee)I dnt know much about.

Another player tht has came bck to USF after time at Pearl river(Spires)looks ready to start right away but wont due to the great players in front of him and time needed to learn the play book.

This class is still young w/ 9 guys being SOPH if Hill RS this year.1 guy(Busbee)still listed  as a FR and only 2 JRs.

This young class includes 3 FR-AA(Grothe,Selvie,CRob)and who many considers the best WR on the team(TJ).

What do you this think of our 05 class so far??Any corrections or diff of opinion???

My only comment is that it really shows the difference the BCS affiiation and Big East Conference membership has made to the quality of athlete we could get.  A lot of people talk about our turnover in personnel, but because of the step up in the athletic ability of the players we are now attracting they are superior to what we were attracting before.  As we continue to gain national prominence and respect as a BCS school, I believe we will continue to attract even better athletes and higher rated athletes each year for the foreseable future.  The best high school athletes wan to play at the highest level of competition and be able to compete for a National Championship. Now that we are in a position to to do that, we are in a position to attract  the best players.

I expect the 2006 class to have show that we had some great athletes when they hit the field this year and then the same for 2007.

Tolley didn't even practice this spring. He has had a rough couple of years at USF. We need him to set up, but I for one don't think he has the ability IMHO.

I wasnt talking about the Spring tht jus passed...but  here  you go from  Tolleys profile:

2006 OT (RS Freshmen) - 2005 was a redshirt for Tolley and he used the year to add some muscle. This was his first spring to prove himself, and with injuries to Thed Watson and others on the O-line he didn't disappoint. He showed that he is strong, versatile, and able to hold his own. He will continue his development this summer where he competes for multiple positions on the line.

Exactly, Tolley will be a SO in 2007 ... too early to have a strong judgement.

This was a fine class and it's still VERY young !

Go BULLS !!!

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
