Sounds like a project at best.  Not exactly a Big East type of recruit.

How often do you get big east caliber recruits as walk ons?

We aren't wasting a scholarship so there is no risk.

If he spells gransberry at all, then we got value.

If he helps in practice as a big body and nowhere else, we got value.

If he turns out to be a 4 pt 4 rebound guy... then we hit the lottery... anything more, and our luck may be changing for the better finally.

I agree Velcro.  I'm not saying it is a bad thing and, as you said, we aren't risking anything.  If we get a guy that can be a warm body for a few minutes a game at the center position, then it's a good pickup.

At 6'11" but 225 lbs, maybe the football team can lend him some pads to help KG get a better feel for going aganst BE centers ...  ;)
