This kid is already 6'3 225-230 lbs, He has amazing size and speed. If I'm not mistaken, be played quarterback and safety in HS not Linebacker.

I heard he will get a legit shot at QB, but if things don't work out he could be a DB. I would like to have a guy bulit like a linebacker with 4.6 speed

playing at safety.

USC had 3 Safetys on their roster that were 220+ lbs.

They had a freshman named Taylor Mays who was 230 lbs...the guy was an animal.

Any word on how Voss is physically?  Wasn’t he injured last year?  Is all of that in the rearview mirror?

He'll lead us to victory in The Swamp!!!

I think it's grea tthat the kid qualified...I really do. But by the time our game in the swamp comes around...I'm hoping that there is a heated QB competition between Voss and a couple of young blue-chip recruits that have been long overdue.

. If you read what he was saying and understand the effort that he was putting in to ensure that he qualified in time for the last session of the Summer, then there should be no question about his desire or leadership ability.

From another vantage point it could  be viewed that if  he had taken care of business all along during his high school years he wouldn't have to had to make the last minute effort to meet the minimum standards.  I'm not sure why you think that what he did demonstrates leadership ability.

Only time will tell if he will in fact cut the mustard at USF.

I think he'll end up at safety. Quality HS QB, not sure he'll translate great at the college level.

However, part of his reasoning for choosing USF was the fact that we were going to give him an opportunity to play the QB position.

If he can show us some things there we'll keep him there. If not, he has the potential to be a very good DB.

Yes he was injured last year and played the entire season with a bum knee everything is all good to go now. As for the clearing house coming from someone who had to deal with them when I was in HS it is a PAIN in the A$$. Some classes’ counts towards your GPA some don’t and so on and so forth. Good luck Voss and rep GHS

It's nice to know that we have QB's lined up for the future.

He might get too big to play QB, unless we want a Tebow like QB.  After a RS year, I'd be surprised if he doesn't eat/lift his way out of that position.  Either way, its great news that he'll be in school.

You are kidding    Right ?  Kinda like Daunte Culpper was to big.

Alton's name is too close to Altron  makes me nervous.

That Young guy wasn't good on some tests either.

Man you guys are tooooo funny.

He is not dumb, and physically I think he could be a great college QB with the right coaching.  With that being said his athleticism is really rare, he's a physical talent and we all know how Leavitt hates to keep those kind of kids on the bench.

Funny, Marquel Blackwell didn't even qualify initially....HMMMMMM!  Yeah, sometimes the really dumb person is the one that reads the book by it's cover.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
