If I just write a check for the total cost...can it be named after me?

Where do I send the check?

Waaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh?  ???

Um, wow.  If that's true, then college football is suffering from a true dearth of decent punters.

Teachey is NOT a good punter.

:nope

Maybe they accidentily evaluated Brandon Baker.  I don't think that fake punts are really a factor in how good your punter is, well.. well because it has nothing to do with him punting.

Sure we had some monster bounces last year with the rugby style, but when the return men come up short and catch the ball the punt's maybe 40 yards with atleast 20 open field yards ahead of you. Not good.

But congrats to Teachey. I love his kickoffs.

... and truthfully I like the rugby style. I think we should fake run on anything less than 5 yards. I remember cheering for fake punts loudly and drunkenly last year vs. Pitt.

every punt is definitely an adventure with teachey...our special teams is not very good however. our kicking game blows, and it doesn't appear to be improving much this year...we would have beat rutgers with a made field goal.

Teachey is a pain in the butt for the opposing special teams. Those knuckle-ball rugy punts are hard to field and give poor angles for a return. Having said that...the less of Teachey we see the better....because hopefully we'll be scoring alot of points  >:D

Actually if you cath a low line drive punt it usually leads to a big return because the ball will be at the returner way before the coverage.

I don't like the rugby style kicks, but it hasn't bit us in the ass yet, so...

The distance and unpredictability of some bounces is a two way street, which is a reason why so many have not employed the rugby style kick. At one point (when they were wearing leather or no helmets) it was the norm for several teams. However, I think that Louisville would agree. The existence of a rugby style punter is something that let Miami have several big returns in their comback against UL in 2004.

I'd prefer a traditional punter, because the risk is less. However, like mentioned above it hasn't bit us in the ass.

His rugby style will consistently keep defenses guessing - and Leavitt will keep them honest withi plenty of opportunity for fakes and 1st downs.
