In the 100 days to Bulls Football countdown, TheBullsPen.com is hosting discussion on players wearing the numbers 99 to 1.          

     

Today we're approx 84 days until kickoff of the 2007 season          

     

The number 84 was and/or is worn by the following Bulls:            

       

Wes Marshall ...................................1997-1998

Richard Guerrero............................1999-2000

Will Bleakley...................................2004-2006

Remember all 3 very well ... it's just that we stopped throwing to TE's it seemed after Year One with Hypolite.

Bleakley could have really made a difference.

Bleakley did make a difference this year in a some very quiet ways.  He was a solid blocking TE which is what our offense called for.  He made a lot of very key blocks all year long.  He made the key block in the Bowl game that broke the big hole open for Williams first TD.  He also made a huge block that sprang Grothe for an important TD during the season. (I can't remember who it was against, but it made the highlight reel on Sports center).

TE Derek Carter got involved with that TD reception from Amarri Jackson vs. UL in '05.  That was one of our finest TE moments and Carter was on Day 85's thread.
