I've done a fair amount of checking on that, and the thing to remember is that being under 925 -- as USF will assurely be in football -- merely means a school is subject to sanctions, not getting them. From what I've been told, the Bulls are unlikely to lose scholarships next year, but more likely would be subject to a letter of warning. If a school can show mitigating circumstances -- moving into a bigger conference, which might cause more players to transfer out -- it can lessen the blow. The academics aren't an issue, but the retention will continue to be one for several years ...

There will likely be a high correlation between the higher talent level of future recruits and trqansfers out from our program.

More from the blog, comments section.  Greg putting a poster in his place.  I found it funny.

"Wuz up greg comment about simpson. I don't think you do much reserch on things you write about.

Not sure what more to say on Simpson -- good kid from a good program at Edison. I can remember sitting at the McDonald's his mother manages in north Miami, talking with her about all he'd overcome. He played well last fall at the I-AA level, and I'm sure he'll do the same this season. And I'll try to do some "reserch" just to keep my anonymous posters happy.
