If you haven't got a room yet, you still can get one at the Hampton Inn North in Columbus.  Now that the game time is so late, most people that I know are driving up Saturday morning, arriving in Columbus around 2-3pm.  Allows for a 2 hour rest, before heading on to auburn (45min) and still have 4 hours of tailgating.

Please post if you are staying at this hotel.  If you aren't, go ahead and book it before all the rooms are gone.

Is there any talk of a larger caravan heading up from tampa on Saturday morning?

I'll be there with 4 others...Will it really only take 45 minutes to get there from the hotel? I guess I already had it set in my mind that it would be hell both to and from Auburn...

Yes, it's 45 mins from Auburn -- with no traffic.  Expect the ride to be 90 mins to 2 hours on game day.

The BBers are looking at a bus option from the Hampton to Auburn and back.

How much?

It's much easier for me to post that question here rather than look it up myself

Google Maps puts it at 108 miles, which is about an hour and 45 minutes

I cant see it taking 2 hours.  It can't be any worse then getting out of gainesville.  If you high tail it to the car and get going, you should be able to beat the majority of the traffic.  It depends on how the game is going on the number of people who stay till the end.

What time are others leaving Tampa? We would love to see lots of green and gold together heading up I-75.

I've been told by numerous Auburn fans to NOT expect to get out of the stadium parking lot until at least 2 hours have passed after the end of the game.

Time to sit back, open a few cold ones, and watch the tailgates.

P.S. I am still coming up Friday...I want a full day of rest before the big game at night!

Crambone-  I think you are right with all your thoughts... The best time to get up there will be Friday night, and it will take hours to get out of dodge (auburn) after the game... For those that are driving up on Saturday remember 6-7 ours on the drive up...1-2 hours to the game (for those of us that stay friday, my group plans to leave for game by 2pm hopefully putting us at the tailgate at 2pm for the 8pm game (Central).. And finally 2-3 hours back to hotel..   All summed up..  If you go up Saturday you will have 10-12 hours of driving within a 20-22 hour period... If that is the case MORE POWER TO MY BULL BROTHERS AND SISTERS WHO WILL SAVE 100 bucks in hotels...  Can't wait for this one!
