...

I am aware it takes some money to schedule but not for legit 1 and 1, other teams can do it why can't USF? ...

As stated earlier, many of these lower 1A teams get paid $500-750K to play teams ... these larger 1A teams have large fan bases and make money even paying this much. USF would lose money.

Some 1AA teams even ask for $250K and get it from some 1A teams.

MONEY is the reason we schedule these lower 1AA teams ...

... and the whole reason for this thread is to help explain WHY we need to attend these games ... when we have more fans and more fans donating, we can afford to bring in more lower 1A teams on a regular basis AND have 7-8 Home schedules.

You are not alone in "complaints" of player 1AA teams, but there is a major reason for it, please help EDUCATE our fan base and asked them to "sacrifice". I would rather be in RayJat watching USF play ANYONE, than the game of the century -again. And we have about 25K fans(being generous) that would also. We just need to double that number.

USF WOULD be better served going on road getting a big pay day to play a top team

I am talking about home openers, I have said that I do not mind 1 cup cake for homecoming. Just do not think Elon is a good warm up for Auburn or a confidence builder.

If I'm reading this correctly, the only time you want to play a cupcake is for homecoming. Is that philosophy still prevalent in college football? It seems that homecoming occurs during the meat of conf schedule and most homecoming opponents are conf foes these days. As stated, our scheduling is in line with at leat 75% of the BCS teams. The biggest difference, also as stated, is that our program is so young that we haven't built up the huge fan base other programs have that just comes to see the Bulls. Only thing to cure this is time and success .... and with that, there will be more and more fans, like those on this board, that will come to see the Bulls no matter who the opponent is.

Patience, grasshoppah.

maybe 50% of the teams

Another reason why the new 10 year $22 Million deal is great ... further reason not to get "pay games".

Anyways, teams do not want to "pay" us to come and play. We are a risk, "pay" games are for teams that would most likely lose.

Really looking forward to the new board and "ignoring"  ;D I won't be tempted to educate sMAZZA  8-)
