There is too much depth at LB. I think Glover saw that playing time and competition is too much at that spot.

Verpaelae is the big surprise,is it grades?

Agree about depth must be the reason ... also shocked about Verpaele - really hurts, but we're deep "enough" ... may open a slot if a FR is good enough to enter the 2 Deep.

Wish Ponton the best !

Loosing Verpale hurts big time. I hope he straightens out and comes back next year.

Charlton Sinclair will be back there...I hope. He's a heavy hitter.

Someone find out why Verpaele is ineligible.  He will be missed.  Curious to know...

IMO the biggest loss this offseason was J. Julmiste (talent wise), hands down.

No big losses here, maybe Glover was not as good as hyped.  I just never beleived in Verpael, he seemed to never wrap up on his tackled.  He occasionally got a big hit a receiver, to make him drop the ball, but that was only because he wa slow to react.  Anyway I like the look of those 6"2 to  6"4 (Allen, Gachette and  C Williams)200 pound plus safteies back there. Add in Jenkins at 6 ft 200lbs at corner, Tyler Roberts and Murphy at 6'1 ( probably pushing 200 lbs by now) that is an intimidating D backfield.

Verpaele is not academics and his experience and smarts will be missed. Very unfortunate.
