You guys are getting off topic.  This was intended as a question as to when we 'officially changed to green pants during home games'.

Does anyone know?

In the current world of College football not too many teams have "official" home and away unis. The online guidelines colleges have is that you have to has dark jerseys at games and white when you are away

I'l go out on a limb and say 2004 was the first year we wore green pants for the entire season at home, and have never switched back to white.

Maybe Mike G can confirm with pictures of each opponent during those years.

I think you may even be able to go back one season to 2003.  I can vaguely remember seeing Andre Hall in the old unis (first season of the logo change) with green pants at home.

I can live with either option at home, but the white/white road option makes me sick.  Gotta go with white/green on the road.

They definitely wore green jerseys/green pants in '03 for some games but not all games.  And, by the way, Andre Hall only played for USF in 2004 and 2005, so the #2 you're thinking of was probably D'Juan Green.

I seem to remember the team going green-on-green often even back to when I was a student. From 1998 to 2001 they gradually cut back on green-on-white to the point where they rarely wore it at the end of my time there.

I think it was something that just sort of "caught on". The year before the logo change, I think they realized how bland out uniforms were and decided to try and spice it up. The "look" caught on and in my opinion, they overdid it.

Green on green looks fine, nothing wrong with it, but mix it up a bit!

(Oh, and did anyone else notice how WONDERFUL uab's helmets look?! Must be nice to have a real gold helmet...)

They make the "U" black because green does not show up on TV and is bad for live games too.

That's what they say, but from what I have seen, it just isn't true.

Plus, if you want to make it stand out more, all you have to do with the green decal is outline it in a white trim.  That would look great, and it would actually be on of our school colors.
