Here are the 15 remaining players on the USF Baseball Team:

P-  Matt Quevedo

P-  Shawn Sanford

P-  Matt Stull

P-  Daniel Thomas

P-  Blake Tillett

P-  David Torcise

C- None left

IF-  Dexter Butler

IF-  Charles Cleveland

IF-  Brandin Daniel

IF-  Walter Diaz

IF-  Addison Maruszak

IF-  Victor Pina

OF-  Joey Angelberger

OF-  Mike Consolmagno

OF-  JC Suarez

That is 15 players as of right now.  We could easily lose Diaz and Thomas to the MLB Draft.  And we could possibly have players transfer away from USF out of this bunch.  Also, 1/3 of the guys on this list have limited experience at USF (Stull, Pina, Tillett, and Torcise).

We should be OK though as we have 3 OFs;  we'll just have to move one of our IFs to play catcher...........     :-/

Just a side input:

Charles is working with the pitchers in the fall, in addition to his 3b/1b roles.  8-)

As well, Prado has said we were bringing in several catchers, I imagine at least one from the juco level.

Of course the staff has signed 15 players to LOIs already.  They will lose some to the draft as Greg noted, but many of them will help fill the roster.  I expect the staff will grab some JC guys too and maybe find a diamond in the rough in summer baseball somewhere.

Heh, I plan on working out all summer, and I'm good friends with Quevedo so I'll get him out to do some long tossing.

I tried the side arm thing, next year... knuckleballer.

Good luck with the knuckler.  If you can pull it off, it could lead to a decent year.
