BCS or Playoffs

What do you like better the playoffs or the BCS?

And which one benefits USF football more?

At this point in our football programs development the BCS would help us the most, unless the playoffs had some kind of payout for every round you advance to.  We are still a growing program and the $$$ a BCS bowl would give us would do worlds for us to continue to develop our facilities (dining hall etc) for football an all of our other sports.

Personally, I'd like for the BCS to be done away with because it's a joke...and have everyone go back to the traditional pre-bcs system. I just don't see why there has to be a national champion...there will nearly always be someone somewhere who gets left out.

I would like the idea of a playoff...but i dont know about the travel involved...its hard enough for us to get fans to home games and one bowl game a year...

I am gonna do a more indepth write up of the format later.

There are pros and cons for USF.

The biggest Con to the proposed format is that there will be NO differentiating of teh conferences all ELEVEN conferences will have equal basis of getting to the playoffs based on rankings and a committee of athletic directors.

What will this do? It could cause USF to lose its status as an auto BCS team.

playoffs

every sport determines their champion using a playoff system why should college football be any different.

set it up like the NFL where lower seeded teams play at home until the big game.

6 major conference champs + 2 from minor leagues (lump ND in with them).  8 team playoff.

they can continue to have bowl games although they are about worthless. Ours was basically a glorified away CUSA game.
