Blackwell and other Bulls coaching at Freedom

Not sure if this has already been posted, but found this buried in the Temple Terrace Beacon in the Sports "section" this morning:

Bulls go back to high school – led by Marquel Blackwell

No, Freedom doesn’t have a new nickname, but the school is increasing the number of Bulls associated with the football team. Former South Florida quarterback Marquel Blackwell will coach the Freedom Patriots for his first season next fall. He has added four former Bulls as assistants. That group includes Julian Johnson, Tchecoy Blount, DeAndrew Rubin, John Miller.

Yeah, I remember reading this in Greg's blog. I plan on attending one of their football games this fall. Probably the one against Armwood in Brandon. Armwood always has talented players, whom some move on to USF!

Don't know what I was thinking.  I did a quick search on this site to make sure I wasn't rehashing anything (didn't find anything), but I should've known that Greg had already covered it (in much more detail, too).  Guess I should search his blog as well!  Definitely missed that entry...

It's in Tampa Palms, north of Bruce B. Downs, just west of I-75. If you go north on Tampa Palms just south of the interstate, make a right on Commerce Park Boulevard.

They're are all country club kids... I'm not sure Blackwell and Rube and the gang will be able to relate. You smack those kids in the mouth good and hard one time, they'll fold. It'll be interesting to watch their progress. Quell lost his top player as well... it could be a long season at Freedom.
