“Take me out to the Ballgame IV†– Event #2

What:  USF Alumni Night at the Camden Riversharks

When:  Saturday, June 23 @ 7:00 pm

Where:  Campbell’s Field – Camden, NJ

Cost:  $27.00 per person

This is our 4th annual “Take me out to the Ballgame†and this one promises to be the best yet!  If you have not been to a minor league game you are in for a real treat.   We have the private home-plate picnic area (directly above home plate).  You will have great views of the river and Philadelphia.  This is an all ages event.  There will be an all you can eat picnic (chicken, hotdogs, burgers, potato salad, baked beans, ice cream, cookies, soda, etc.) and a game ticket for only $27.00 per person.  To add to the fun and excitement one of our very own will sing the National Anthem.  George Pellegrino (husband of USF alumni) Jackie Pellegrino will sing and represent our group.  Two years ago George sang “God Bless America†during a Riversharks game and was outstanding!  This is a great event and lots fun for the entire family.  For more information on the Camden Riversharks check out their website at www.riversharks.com

Fly with the Dragons!

What:  USF Alumni and the Schuylkill Dragons

When: Saturday, June 23 @ 10:00 am

Where: Temple Boat House (near Midvale) on Kelly Drive

Cost:  $20.00 per person

The Schuylkill Dragons (SD’s) are a women’s competitive dragon boat team.  The SD’s are a member of Team USA.  They won the national competition in Florida last year and will now be competing in Australia at the World Dragon Boat competition in September.  Each USF Alumni will receive basic dragon boat instruction, then get suited up in a life jacket, given a paddle and off we go for 40 minutes of on-the-water fun!  You must be at least 6 years of age for this event.  Each boat holds 16-18 “guest dragonsâ€Â.  There will also be experts (4-6) in each boat to keep us moving in the right direction.  This is a great way to have fun on the water and learn about Dragon Boats.  For more information on the SD’s check out their website at www.schuylkilldragons.org
