The biggest choke in USF history in my opinion was when USF lost a 17 pt lead to Marquette during the BB Waldon and Altron Jackson era. We had that game won which was televised on ESPN, and the game was a key win that we needed to  make the NCAAs under Seth Greenberg. All of the suden, Altron Jackson starts doing the celebration dance with about 12 minutes left in the game which motivated Marquette's Brian Wardle to keep making three point shots. At the end of the game, the ESPN annoucers could not believe how shocked the SUNDOME was after we blew that game. Altron Jackson pretty much pulled his jersey over his head and fell to the SUNDOME floor as ESPN broke out into SportsCenter. That to me was a big choke.

I'm not disappointed with this season at all.  Lelo did way better than expected.  Therefore I dont consider the UCONN games a choke job.

Now Army in 04 when I was homecoming director....ugh, that was horrible!!

I don't know.  I expected to lose to Army in '04.  We weren't playing that well, and Army was looking better and better.  I was bummed, but not completely shocked.

The baseball team has let me down all year because they would get my hopes up, and then dash them in an excruciating way.  From the Florida game all the way through the UConn finale, it's been a tough year.

That said, my expectations were probably too high.  We did see improvement this year, and had some solid wins along the way (2 vs. Stetson, the tourney win against St. John's).  It was a decent year.  Hopefully we can make it to regionals next year  :)

Now I am upset JoeB, you had to make this an opinionated discussion and now people are rehashing some of my more painful memories....Army 2004, Quette when were up by 17, Charlotte up by 21... :'(

Those were real legit choke jobs.  I was simply shocked we won two in the tourney.

Some can say the UConn football game with the BCS shot on the line was a choke job too. I believe it was first and goal, and we dont score on UCONN. We choked with bad play calling and stupid penalties in that game. You could say that was a sad day because it would have set up a BIG EAST championship game againt WVU if we would have beat UCONN.

UConn `05 was the worst.  Thanks to Rod Smith's "panicked" playcalling.  1st and goal inside the 5, you have Andre Hall ready to pop it in and he calls the "quick snap" for a quick penalty.  I don't remember the next 3 plays, but the Voodoo-5 to finish it off, well that was the cherry on top of the **** sundae.

The last 2 minutes of the first half of the Alabama game were pretty bad too.
