I'm not sure, thats why I included a question mark.  Can anyone think of a bigger choke, than the baseball team versus UConn?  I'm sure we'll have some examples.  I recall the Marquette basketball game this year, when we were up like 5 with a minute left and ended up losing on a break away lay up as time expired.  That was pretty bad.

Does anyone else feel as bad as I do right now?  I know I put alot of energy into the baseball team this year, but there has to be some others that are having trouble with this one.

Agreed, that was bad.  I was there and I don't think I ever felt more like $h** leaving a game than I did that night.  It was ARMY, it was HOMECOMING, and we BLEW IT!!!

Definitely the #1 USF choke in my book.

And JoeB, you have to admit, even though we blew it today, so did Louisville, so we're not the only ones who feel this way.  We made progress on last season's BaseBulls and thats all that counts.  I foresee a good future in the coming years for Bulls Baseball.

I am at a loss for words on how badly we choked this championship away. Like both blogs have printed, the other teams paved the freaking way for us to the champ. game. And we blew it.

sounds like another year of USF not playing to their potential in baseball.

hopefully the new coaching staff can take this experience and build on it.

Coming this close to the BE championship game and losing lthe way they did was almost (nothing an really compare though) to the frustration in football against UCONN in 2005.

Army game was meltdown, but wasn't as agonizingly frustrating of coming so close time after time and after pretty much shutting them down in a situation where a win would have allowed us to play for the BE chapionship against WVU.

Probably ranks behind the Army loss and the Paschal-era loss to Virginia Commonwealth (I think) where we gagged away a 29-point lead, I believe it was. Or certainly the 19-point halftime lead that turned into a big loss to Maryland in front of a full Sun Dome back in the Radenko days.

Not a choke at all.  The team overachieved to get here.  Would you rather have a 35 win team against tough competition, or last year's debacle?  Come on, give the guys some credit for effort.  Sometimes the other team is just better.  Prado needs more time to build.

You guys sound like a certain unnamed poster missing the shift key.

I disagree...we haven't had sticks all year- it was a miracle they got to Friday from some amazing pitching, hell we had amazing pitching on Friday that kept us in both.  What Prado has done with absolutely no power hitting and sporadic timely hitting is just amazing.  No choke it was just like all season when they couldn't get things going on the base paths it was lights out.

This year Prado did the unthinkable, and the pitching coach is DA MAN!  Now recruit a little bit of power and clutch hitting and this program will be winning the BE annually.

Can someone tell me how a team in Florida does not have enough baseball talent on its roster to go around?
