2007 was a great first step in CLP's plan to take USF baseball to a level it has never been.

Keep a watch on the Louisville team that is a reflection of the type of players that will be brought in, only better.

I heard from a realiable source that most of the kids from this years team aren't coming back. Prado going to reload and bring in the people he wants. He's really changing USF baseball

You know, I've heard this too.  Whats the word on that?  Is he just not being nice to players that he'd rather replace than keep or are there legit talents that don't like coach LP?

Whats the dilly yo?

Major rebuilding project in order next year, with many, many players not returning. Not really a rumor anymore.

Honestly, I wouldn't expect a real regional shot for a year or more, when the players they are bringing in have a chance to mature and adjust to D-1 baseball. Once that happens, should be a solid program again.

So...next year would be worse than this year?

That's really hard to predict, for obvious reasons... there are impact freshman, and there are freshman who need some time to adjust. Sanford took a little while in the fall to get going, but the results were evident in the spring. Some people take longer to adjust, and may not give better results than this year.

Good question. All the releases were offered help finding playtiming elsewhere, but there were a few who are hanging 'em up (e.g. me)

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
