My initial reaction to the losses in baseball today is that this is a letdown. Any chance you have to be in the driver seat to win a championship and blow it is a letdown.  Hopefully we have enough underclassmen on the team who feel the sting from this and come back hungry

Gotta call a spade a spade.  We couldn't hit all week.  We were LUCKY to win the games we won.  I put this up there with the loss to Cincinnati last year in football.  C'mon, we can't score against UConn??  They barely made the tournament for crist sakes.  We blew two great opportunities from Matt Quevedo and Yur Higgins.  These guys pitched their butts off, and we can't scratch one run across??  Our hitters CHOKED, with a capital C-H-O-K-E.  I'm so pissed I don't know where to start.

this is just rebuilding, I don't think of it as a choke, more like our hitters had an off day, it happens to the best of them, lay off the kids, they played as best they could vs some tuff competition and some great pitching.  JoeB, I know you invested a lot into Baseball this year, as did I, but come on man, ease off the players a little bit, even professional baseball teams have games where they just can't hit the ball, today was our day of not being able to hit the ball.  it happens, move on and look to next year, or hope for a bid to the tourny.

another thing JoeB, its a game, you win some you lose some, nothing to get as upset as you are.  you are overreacting.  where you this mad when we lost to Army in football?  were you this  mad at softball for not getting a NCAA bid?  were you this mad when our womens basketball team had a blown call in last years NCAA tourny game vs USC that cost them the game?  calm down.

i say its both.  the say we started out the season to end it like this is a let down, but it is still a rebuilding process.  new coaching staff seems to be moving in the right direction.  now, next year, if we dont make the NCAAs then its a let down.

Unfortunately, as with the case  with most of our sports teams throughout our history, the baseball team needed to learn how to win.  Championship teams do what they need to do to and find ways to win important games.   We found ways to lose, especially with the baserunning mistakes in the first game.

All in all, it was a good first year for Prado.  Now he will have time to build the team with his players.  The future looks bright for the baseball team.

I'd say the baseball team overachieved this year. I'm glad our Bulls were able to make it as far as they did in the Big East Tourney. I'm Lelo's recruiting class for next year will be top-notch. The future is looking bright for the BaseBulls.

Little of both and thankfully, due to new leadership, we have a "free pass" this season in my books.  I look for games and tournaments like this to be won in 2009.  I believe time is an important ingredient and Prado needs some time to put hsi program together.  Should we have won it all?  Probably not.

I heard from a realiable source that most of the kids from this years team aren't coming back. Prado going to reload and bring in the people he wants. He's really changing USF baseball

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
