Going to the Meineke Car Care Bowl with an FSU matchup would not be a bad deal.  Of course the same matchup in Jax would be better or is the rotation for the Big East out west this year?  

It's not a rotation... the Gator Bowl can select a Big 12 team up to two times in the four year contract.  When that happens, the Big East gets a slot in the Sun Bowl.

USF v FSU would be interesting... at least the Gator Bowl would sell out... but the Jax hotels wouldn't.

Unless the Big 12 is unbelievably terrible this year, and Notre Dame is around 6-6, and there are no other Big East teams that could suffice the position. USF is NOT going to the Gator Bowl.

Sorry, they added the Big 12 exception for a reason and they will use it if it comes down to USF, Pitt, or any other BE team that isn't exactly known to travel well.

Yeah I'd be a little disappointed to be in the pizza bowl again.  Screw CDOA.  

If we're not in the BCS bowl game then I'd love to see us in the Gator.   That would be awesome, but probably won't happen until we shake off the "teams that travel poorly" perception.  If we're playing FSU, I don't care where it is, Jax or Charlotte.  I'd drive 12 hours to see that game.

Thats not great for a bowl game within driving distance.  I remember ECU really outnumbered us.  In the end it doesnt matter cause we beat them on the field, but the point is the alumni and students need to get it together to get above the hump.
