Good for him.  For the record, I think canceling the schollie was wrong, but I know some will argue that is how it goes in a BIG TIME program.  Also, I don't know the whole story behind the revocation.

Secondly, if I was Cann, I would've taken a shot at Division I and sat the year.  Easy for me to say though.  Just thinking about his injuries - another year rebuilding strength and losing some weight might have made him a legit DI player.

I really didn't have too big a problem with them revoking the schollie as long as USF was still going to supply him with an education. Got to have faith in CSH, at this time, to know what he wants and doesn't want in players.

Glad to see Zaronn landed on his feet somewhere close by... would have prefered UT, though.

Hopefully he becomes a key player over there and has a great year... then maybe he can latch on at a DI school of his choosing without sitting a year.

He'd still have to sit out a year if he left Eckerd for a Division I school.

I agree with you Bulliever. Pulling the scholly wasn't cool in my opinion. Glad to see Zarron will be able to play close to home, and I've heard Eckerd is a nice school.

Eckerd's coach(Tom Ryan) is a class guy and has built a very good DII program there.

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
