Well, it looks like Q will be starting in tomorrow's game at 1 PM against the winner of UConn/St John's .  Even though he was our midweek starter most of the year, he's faced some quality competition.  He's faced the likes of Jacksonville, Florida, Stetson (twice), UNF, and UCF.  He's still a Freshman though and had a couple of rough outings in his two lone Big East starts (Villanova and Rutgers).  Here are his numbers, and a breakdown of each performance.

vs High Point- 4 IP (0 hits/1 BB), 3 Ks, 0 runs, Win in Relief

vs Jacksonville-  3 IP (6 hits/0 BB) 2 Ks, 5 runs (0 earned runs), Relief Appearance

vs Florida-  5.1 IP (3 hits/2 BB) 3 Ks, 3 runs (3 earned runs), No Decision due to blown save

vs Stetson-  5.2 IP (6 hits/3 BB) 2 Ks, 5 runs (4 earned runs), No Decision

vs Miami (OH)- 5.2 IP (8 hits/1 BB) 2 Ks, 4 runs (4 earned runs), No Decision

vs UNF-  9 IP (6 hits/1 BB) 7 Ks, 1 run (1 earned), Complete Game Win

vs FAMU- 6 IP (7 hits/2 BB) 3 Ks, 5 runs (2 earned), No Decision due to blown save

vs UCF- 6.1 IP (7 hits/1 BB) 2 Ks, 3 runs (1 earned), Win

vs Villanova- 4.2 IP (8 hits/4 BB) 3 Ks, 6 runs (5 earned runs), Loss

vs Rutgers- 0.2 IP (5 hits/2 BB) 0 Ks, 5 runs (5 earned runs), Loss

vs Stetson- 9 IP (3 hits/4 BB) 5 Ks, 0 runs, Complete Game Win

One horrendous start, but all the other ones gave USF a chance to win on that given day.  He could have gone 6-2 if not for two blown saves, but more importantly the team went 8-3 in games he appeared in.

Cuban, the question is who UConn has.  SJU is eliminated.  Best news I've heard all night!

UConn will start Nappo tomorrow, who went 5 1/3 against us and gave up only two runs for the win as the Sunday starter against us during the regular season.  

Couldn't possibly be more excited for tomorrow.... will try to give a full report when I get back to the hotel tomorrow night.  Weather should be much warmer tomorrow as well, which should only help!
