Great win last night.  I'm not sure what was worse, the big east TV crashing, or the bullspen crashing.  None of the people watching could talk about the game afterwards.  At least we're in the winner's bracket.

I would say we are a bubble team at best. If we make it to the championship game we could possibly get the at large, but I would not count on it. We need to win this thing to take it out of othe rpeople's hands. Just ask the team in 1994, who received a letter of apology after the fact saying we were "over looked". Not still bitter about that or anything.

What? Are you serious? Wow, that sucks. I had never heard that before.

Just win.

Awesome to hear a win against St. Johns!  That win is huge.  Starting off 2-0 in these tournies is a bigger advantage than you can ever describe as the toll it takes on a pitching staff going through those losers brackets borders on insanity.  If USF can get the bats going, I like our chances the rest of the way.

I like our chances.  This field doesn't allow for power hitters to play a big role in the outcomes of the games.  So for a team like USF with no power, it levels the playing field.  We can fight and claw with the best of them as we've already set a new season high of hit batsmen.  If we can continue to pitch smart and play great D, we have as good a chance as anyone.

This was really an extraodinary win.  Gotta think our Bulls will see 'em one or two more times (double elim. tour.?).  If Lelo can get to the finals then the coaching change argument MUST die to everyone.  I don't believe many think Eddie should have remained but you could argue Urso over Prado.

Where do we stand in the Big East now? We entered the Tourney #5 seed and but if we end up in the championship game does that place us at #2 at worse in the Big East?

Let's go UConn...now would be a great time for St. John's to self-destruct.

The cards are really falling in our favor.

If the CARDS actually fell, it would be to our favor. Realistically though we need to win this tourney in order to make it to the postseason, a championship game loss probably won't be enough, especially if that loss comes to Louisville, who seems destined to be the 3rd team to make it into the postseason from the BE.

This pretty much says it all.  Big East most likely will only get three teams.  If we somehow beat UL in the finals, we might get 4, but its unlikely.

Louisville vs USF for the Big East championship (*knock on wood). Now that's ironic.

Oh yeah it happened. I think we were 39-19 and swept the gators 2 games to nill(#1 seed) and were left high and dry. Not as many teams got in the tournament way back then. ;) Something like 48 as opposed to 64. That record would get you in every time with a decent schedule.

Urso would have been a great hire as well, but Lelo is doing a great job so far.
