No doubt.  Being #1 in an eight team league is far better than #3-4 in a 12'er.

Miam would be number 5, maybe 6 in the big east.

going for their 12th national championship

They have 10 in their history and most came before 1970, after that they are almost even with Miami. Take away the 70's and Miamis lead gets bigger. But you never let facts get in the way.

Other than last year, top 4.  They had a down year last year, but don't forget that is a school that can buy recruits essentially.

By no means could that larry coker-destroyed team dominate the current BE, but they'd still be competitive.  Last year they'd have probably finished 5th of 9 (pretending they are in it), but nonetheless most years they'd be top 3.

Whatever, Miami made its miserable bed by moving to the ACC and turning renegade again.  Maybe their new guy can clean up the program again at least.
