So really, what WAS the point the poll?   ::)

Obviously no point to it, Shoop.

Granted, JimUSFsig was the one who actually started the poll, but the results certainly speak for themselves.

E.T. is obviously free to do what he will with the results.

Not a big deal, though.  It's super-gay, but where's the harm?

Just like feminine hygiene product jokes about Tampa ........

No, no.......not so much.

"Tamplona" takes the cake.

Probably boils down to your target audience..... My comment was aimed at the ages 15 & up group who think feminine hygiene product jokes are pretty lame.

Actually, I do agree.  It is rather lame, but still not as lame as "Tamplona."

Hence the reason for the guy rolling in laughter.

It was the lesser of two lames.

I too find the topic of humor to be scientific with Laws that are governed by proofs. After many attempts and humiliations, I find that humor does not take much effort and can be achieved easily for maximum stimulation.

That being said, Tampon/Tampa "jokes" fall outside of the realm of the Laws of Humor. They do not fulfill such properties such as zest and zeal.

Just like many skills in life, some do not possess the natural capacity to make me LOL out loud.

In other words, instead of bashing ET and others for trying to bring an identity to the program, save us your rhetoric. If you want to bring someone down, there is a whole colony of mental lepers that frequent the Dumbgeon that define all Laws of Humor, yet are hysterical.

Side note: When people find out I'm from Seattle, why do they say "I hear it rains a lot there" and smirk? :-/  Sorry, this make me think of that...

Getting back on topic, instead of Tamplona, how about coming up with a moniker that will stick.

Something like

usfLogo.jpg

GOTTA BULL-IEVE

Harkens back to the Amazin' Mets from the mid to late 80's.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
