Bama kept great players on their bench...vs starting against them from Tennessee, Georgia, Ole Miss, Georgia, etc....

Link?

You don't really need one.  That's 1960's football right there.  That Oklahoma team (s) that went undefeated so often in the 60's employed the same tactic.  There were no limitations on scholarships back then, so teams that had an advantage in money or prestige could use that for ridiculous levels of leverage and destroy everyone.

One of the things I really like about recent sports is salory caps/scholarship limits.  They keep the playing field competitive, and assure that skill and strategy matter somewhat.  Half of the posters on this board could probably have beaten the average team the 1960's OU played.  Hell, you could probably just call man under cover 2 every play on defense, and run the triple option on offense repeatedly, and the players were so much more talented you'd win anyway, and often big.  Add a good coach to the equation and............

I certainly don't hate RayJay. However I do think that USF would do good to have a football stadium just for themselves.

I agree with you Reaper, however, are we really ready for an OCS right now?  Until we can do it the right way, RayJay is a good venue.  I too would like to see more Green and Gold there on game day, and I'd love to see the end zone and center field with the USF Bull and U prominently displayed.

GO BULLS!!!!!!!

I do love seeing the Green and gold flags lining the top of the stadium as I turn onto Dale Mabry. This is something everyone who drives by can see, without going inside.

I be wrong here but I doubt it; I bet USF could pay to have field painted any way they want and then back to green.
