Sorry, don't like it at all.

Most people don't know what Pamplona is.

If they do, they don't associate Tamplona with USF.  Just doesn't sound right to me.

Just be the USF Bulls.  Market that!

Nicknames of schools or stadiums come naturally.

The Big House was coined by a reporter when Michigan expanded the hell out of the stadium

The Horse Shoe was the name given by the architects (least that was what I was told) of Ohio Stadium, who were just pointing out the unique design

And the Swamp was given by Steve Spurrier, a name coined by his coaches because the field go so musty and hot during the games.

All three just came as natural descriptions.

You say Big House, HOrse Shoe, or Swamp people can associate the words with something other than the football stadium very quickly.

You say Tamplona, people might not know what either means.

So if Greg mentions Tamplona on the paper would that satisfy some of you? Would that be "natural" enough? I'm not pro or against it but I don't understand the requisite for something to be considered "natural."  What if people outside this board like it after they hear it from a regular guy? It's not natural then because the person that coined it is just a fan as opposed to a reporter, or USF official?

I think what he means is it just takes hold.  ET has been pushing this for about a year and it hasn't caught on.
