Why are there not Grad Asst coaching positions in Basketball? I could see Capko fitting in as a GA. He was a guy that players respected, and he knows basketball.

As far as I knew there were, A buddy of mine was a grad assistant for Boheim in Syracuse for 2 yrs, even helped put together the summer camps.

The "director of basketball operations" is what used to be a graduate assistant position. It has no coaching responsibilities (more administrative) and typically pays about half or less of what a full-time assistant makes. It's the job Reggie Kohn had briefly last season ...
