People call us South Florida all the time, so I dont see why some of you are losing sleep over it. Hell, Seth Greenberg use to say that we need to play South Florida basketball all the time during his pre and post game interviews. Also, Jim Leavitt and many players have stated that they need to play true South Florida football.  Just saying that who cares if we are called USF, South Florida, or University of South Florida?? At least he is not calling us Southern Florida.

this has to be fake, there is no way in hell sporting news would pay or even endorse this crap.  the quality of the writing is on about the 8th grade level, at best.  the writing style and grammar is absolutely horrendous.  it was painful to even read, i had to stop after about three full sentences.

I agree the title of the blog should be, The University of South Florida ..... once that is established I have no problem with South Florida does this, or South Florida will do that.

I think this is some sort of student blog thing. I'm not sure what the criteria is for getting a blog on there but it doesn't seem like it would be too difficult.

I feel you guys are being way to critical of a BLOG. It's a little ridiculous.

I'm not going to rant since I tried to politely explain to Ryan what our University is about on another thread. After reading his response to my post, I then took the stance that USFan has now and decided it wasn't worth my time anymore.

I wrote for my high school paper and know that this type of reporting would get a D out of the class...

All I can say now is thank you Ryan, for supporting our Bulls. I'll support you how I can.

Thanks for gathering up some stats for this upcoming year....

It was so bad I clicked on the "report abuse" link!

Just kidding, but couldn't resist the wisecrack.  Give the guy the necessary feedback to improve his blog.  Perhaps with some improvement, it can be a productive tool for turning more people on to the Bulls.

Um. Not when the author claims to be a professional sportswriter and the website is for a national sports publication.

People here crack on Brett McMurphy.  What is the difference??

And the word "blog" does not equal 'amateur' or 'volunteer' or 'hobby'. Both Brett and Greg Auman have blogs -- and we read those -- because they are professionals who report news.  There are thousands of professional bloggers in the world today - and there will be more and more every year.

Now, if this is some one who is doing this for fun... I will cut him plenty of slack...

100% correct.  But Bulliever is right we need to give feedback, now that he knows how we feel

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
