DC wants a bowl game.  I assume the Big East would be prominent in their discussions.  Not sure about DC in December-January as a prime travel location.

I love it--I've been thinking about a mid-Atlantic bowl game for a while--preferably DC or Baltimore, possibly Philly--as a Big East/Big 'Leven match-up. I'd love to see this take place, partially for selfish reasons, but because I think it could be successful too.

A little cold, but what could be more awesome than DC for a bowl game?  Unless of course, it were in Florida.   LOL

Well since the story does bring up Navy, maybe Navy would break ties with the Car Care Bowl (opening up a BE slot there) and make an alliance with the DC Bowl which could be a BE-Navy matchup.

Any thoughts?

Alot would have to do with when the current bowl contracts run out. Right now the Big East bowl pickings are not ideal. My hope would be that our conference would try to arrange more matchups with the bigger conferences. Perhaps a big East-SEC or a Big East Big Ten matchup in addition to our matchup with the ACC. Time for us to play in the same sandbox as the big boys instead of the CUSA's of the world....

We've got BE/ACC when Car Care works out in our favor; however, ACC makes sense given the proximity of the schools (particularly College Park, UVA and VT). Still, I'd love to see BE/B10 just because that matchup does not yet exist.

A bowl game centered around Navy would most likely make money, however it would be just another in a long list of toilet  bowls.
