And the ignorance of college football continues from smazza.

;D

for someone that didnt even go to usf you have some nerve buddyboy

i forgot more about the game than you ever knew

instead of dealing with reality and the truth(usf's inability to recruitpoke county's best) you need to call names and lash out at me.

SO TYPICAL

Lakeland is and always will be a Gator Town.

usf and leavitt have had 10 years to own that place

no excuse for such a failure

Except for the minor fact that UF had a 90 year head start ... You crack me up, smazz.  ;)

tb-you crack me up

they will always have a 90 year advantage

leavitt has been at usf for 10 years

urban meyer a few years

Smazza, most Gator fans over there don't care who the coach is. Their daddies and grandaddies were Gator fans, so they are too.

leavitt should own polk county by now but if he didnt i would expect fsu to get the kids not some new coach from utah

UF had a 40 year head start over the Noles. As both FSU and USF have generations of fans, they'll eat into Polk County but, for now, it's Gator country and will be that way for a while ......

Try to take a shot at CJL somewhere else. This one has no validity.

Calling you ignorant is not "lashing out and name calling" ... you &*$%  ;D

definitions for ignorant

uneducated in general; lacking knowledge or sophistication

I was simply stating a fact, sorry the truth hurt  :-*

Smazza, I live in Lakeland and graduated from USF and believe E.T had a valid point in stating that your knowledge of college sports is lacking.  Further, we should not bash a fan who has displayed an unparallel passion when it comes to USF sports, USF needs more fans like E.T.  And as for USF recruiting in Lakeland, lets not forget where Matt G is from, USF is making inroads in Lakeland.

I agree with ET.  You can't expect 8 years of CUSA and non D1 football to overtake 98 years of Gator football and the SEC.

Where is poke county ?  ;D

And regarding Lakeland High specifically, Coach Castle is a UF friend ... just as USF is friends with many coaches around the state in our few years recruiting.

And living in Lakeland and talking with people, you can't imagine the recruiting edge for FANS the success of Grothe has done. In just a Freshman season ... just wait for 3 more years of success !

:o

Ah, my wish is that we could somehow get into the SEC.  I know the Big East has been great for us, but can you imagine from Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Bama, Auburn, LSU, Spurrier and SC, Kentucky, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Vandy and MS State coming here every other year?  Talk about selling out the stadium.
