Okay, let's move on to another important topic. Who's our best defender? Mattis was so important for us. Who's going to replace him?

I'm thinking of our roster in my head. Still trying to find the answer...

that is a very good question.  Saaka has the length and a mattis like frame, only bigger.   Nothing near the leaping ability though.

Bozeman is quick and can stay in front of people but his size is a liability there.

I think you'll see one of Curry or Holmes turn into the top defensive player due to their quickness, size, and length, and probably curry because he is a tall 2 guard.  He'll usually be guarding a player his size or smaller.

what do you guys think our season starting 5 is going to look like??   (im completely guessing, being i havent seen curry, holmes, jones or chin play a minute yet)

Gransberry

saaka

curry

holmes

howard

where does verdajo, bozeman, williams, jones, chin fit in?  that rhymes

i love seeing depth in a roster, havent seen that in years.

defensive player of the year could be d curry.

That roster seems about right for starters.  Although if Aris is healthy by the start of the season, it may look like this:

Gransberry C

Williams PF

Holmes SF

Verdejo/Bozeman/ or Curry at SG

Howard PG

Saaka seems like the first guy off the bench for SF.

Verdejo probably the first player off the bench at SG.

Bozeman first off the bench for PG, and will be on the floor at SG too.

Jones will get his minutes too.

Chin will probably be 2nd off the bench at SF.

We still need to get a big or 2 for this season.

PS... you can thank Mac for the depth that you so love, Herm.  Chin is the only signee from Heath, and Cann is gones... so that is a wash as far as an increase in depth.  Any depth we have is totally thanks to RMC.  Give credit where it is due.

I give Mac ALL the credit for the players (besides Chin).  I also give him credit for his winning percentage here.

If Howard can ever get healthy again he is the best player on this team.
