I just want to see what the opinions are about our current team. I guess you can include all signed players as well (Chin and Jones).

I'd have to say Bozeman.  I've always been partial to guys that can ACTUALLY MAKE CONSISTANT FREE THROWS!!!

Hear me now, listen to me later, believe me in the future: Aaron Holmes.

St. Petersburg Catholic High school's all-time leading scorer with 2,748 points. A two-time first team all-state, he scored in the double digits every game during his senior year when he was runner-up for Mr. Basketball honors for Florida. He led Pinellas County in scoring at 26 points a game, but also averaged seven rebounds and 3.2 assists. He improved as a shooter, hitting 44 percent of 3-pointers, and shot 80 percent from the free-throw line. Rated as the nation's #65 player by Rivals in 2006.

I told Aaron I  expected 20 PPG out of him next year. The bar is high for this kid.

he'll be taking over buckley's role as a 3 pt shooter / slasher (and he is a bit more athletic than buckley), so that bode well for him.

my preseason prediction

Holmes - 14 ppg 5 reb 3 assists

Gransberry 19 ppg 11 reb

Howard - 9 apg, 3 t.o.pg  (much improved ratio), 6 ppg

Bozeman - 8 ppg, 5 apg

saaka 8 ppg, 4 rpg

williams 5 pts, 5 rpg

chin 7 ppg, 5 rpg

jones 7 ppg, 3 rpg

curry 11 ppg, 3 rpg, 3 apg

(new big man recruit(s)... needs 5-9 rpg to help out kg)

I know these are WAY premature... considering we don't even know who else will be on the team,  but these are ideals, imo, that would really help.  We need to rebound better as a team, which these numbers are very optimistic on that front, and we need to get quality scoring out of the newcomers, especially Holmes.

No Verdejo, Velcro?

We still need a lot more firepower and size if we are going to survive next year. We have so much youth and that's going to equate to turnovers.

Q: What kind of a game do we have if Gransberry has 3 early fouls?  :-[

Didn't we recieve some new/young big men?

Call me optimistic, but I think our new additions will be vital in this next season.  I just didn't see anything too stellar coming off the bench last season for me to believe that anyone from last years squad(aside from a few starters) will vastly improve our record.

in any case...GO BULLS!!!

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
