he will get 4th round money, he was not drafted high enough to play hard ball, hopefully he plays out his first contract and then hits the lotto.

Players on rookie contracts DO get money for making starts.  It's that performance pay system or whatever.  Some rookies have made quite a chunk of change for it.  He definitely wants to be a starter, even though he doesnt have much leverage in terms of the direct contract.
