usf needs their safeties to play at a higher level this year

Safety play was not a concern last year.  Burnett was solid all year at SS, and the FS's were fine.  Much improved over Camon, may he RIP.  Other areas are much more of a concern.  Again smazza shows he has no real knowledge of football and just wants to flame.

sorry pal-burnett wasnt drafted so please dont  attempt to lecture me about football

usf need to improve

the state is loaded with high school talent that will be playing safety in nfl

usf needs to get that talent in their backfield already

Burnett was good enough to get a free agent deal with the Vikings, so maybe you should listen to the lecture and try to learn something.

3rd Down Conversions:

37% for the season.

Last 6 games:

Cincy 21%

Pitt 27%

'cuse 54%

'ville 20%

WVU 50%

ECU 20%

I don't have it broken down into long or short yardage.

It will always be about the O line and the D line. Unless you have an Andre Hall type runner the unsung heroes make or break a team.

Solid O line gives our runners holes and Matt time to throw.

D line stops the run and hurries the passer.

Good lines make backs look good. Good backs don't make lines look good.

I think we're pretty solid all around. Certainly no glaring weaknesses, even on special teams.

Simple.

Numbers don't lie E.T., but it sure as hell felt like it, especially during the first half of the season.

great teams have great safety play

conversely great safety play can make up for other short comings on d

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
